Students will experiment with the wonders of bioluminescence, fluorescence, and phosphorescence, uncovering the science that powers nature’s glow from fireflies to deep-sea creatures. Through exciting, hands-on activities, learners will: • Create glow-in-the-dark slime and explore how compounds and mixtures produce glowing effects. • Build a glow-in-the-dark lava lamp, testing how different light sources across the visible and non-visible spectrum (UV, infrared, and beyond) affect the glow. • Investigate living organisms that naturally glow, from glowing fungi to bioluminescent plankton. • Experiment with chemical reactions and UV wavelengths to see how energy transforms into visible light.
